Profile of Dr. John Bouma

Long before he aspired to become a chiropractor, Bouma, a native of Grayslake, touted the benefits of chiropractic care. His grandmother received successful chiropractic treatment in the 1940s. As a result, Bouma has been a recipient and an advocate of chiropractic treatment since he was very young.

In 1997, after graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Bouma returned to his hometown to set up practice. The Premier Chiropractic Center is located in downtown Grayslake and offers a full range of chiropractic care. Bouma also gives back to the community by supporting area sports programs, donating time, services and money.

Dr. Bouma also offers a unique approach to healthcare for handicapped children. Chiropractic adjustment and massage therapy can help to enhance or restore some of the body's natural abilities to reach optimum operating capacity. Treatment may also assist in easing muscle tension and reducing spastic activity when other methods have not provided relief.
